Grandpa Danny          Indianapolis, Indiana (1987 - present)       On September 10, 1967, I met Danny Uberto for the first time. Honestly, I do not recall our first meeting. I was most likely crying and screaming at the top of my lungs. Danny was most likely quiet, attentive and a bit stunned. Memory of this conversation eludes me (and probably him) for this was the day that I became his first grandchild. In 1987 I made my initial photograph of Danny while studying photography at the John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have been making photographs of him, the family property, the peculiar objects that litter Danny's home, and the people whom have traveled in and out of his life on the south-side of Indy over the past 20 years.
