Street Notes (1990 - present) The images collected here were meant for the casual passerby in the public domain. These messages are varied in terms of motivation, content, scale, application, and influence. These records are frequently fleeting in terms of availability, and range from raw graffiti and tagging to high-end commercialism. Often aggressive in nature, I catalog the information in an idiosyncratic manner. I control what the viewer encounters in these photographs in the same spirit as those who place these notes in the streets. These findings offer familiarity, difference, anger, love, frustration, and just about everything else under the sun. They are markers of today, yet this manner of disseminating thought has been in the visual vocabulary of mankind since its inception.
