I used the GSUM doublet design tool:

     Java 1.4.2 version
     Java 1.5.0 version

to slide the minimum focus in a 100 mm f/7 air-spaced doublet design until both the 70% and 100% zones for OSC and LA were reasonably nulled at the center of the visual band (555 nm).

It was interesting to see the visual correction, as measured by the photopic Strehl ratio, as it changed across a spectrum of doublets:

    #     Strehl     Minimum Focus (nm)

    1     0.453     521.29
    2     0.422     524.55
    3     0.528     524.47
    4     0.558     531.43
    5     0.507     528.64
    6     0.540     530.64
    7     0.510     541.725
    8     0.508     547.61
    9     0.386     562.05

For those interested, the associated design files for these are:

1     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-BK7/N-BaSF2
2     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-KF9/N-SF4
3     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-K5/SF2
4     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-FK5/N-LF5
5     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-SK11/N-BaSF2
6     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-BK7/F5
7     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-ZK7/SF2
8     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     S-BSL7/S-TIM3
9     ATMOS     OSLO     TEXT     ZEMAX     N-BK7/F2

The color curves for these designs have been overlayed in the picture below.
