Landscapes
This is the only render where the water is a volume object. I edited a terrain and used the DTE to create a unique water material. The terrain is kind of messed up but that's because I never had the chance to finish it.
The terrains appear black because the Sun is behind them. This is a morning scene.
This is a morning sunrise with a more realistic sun and black hills. The bump map looks weird so the water mostly looks like a big mirror.
The Sun is to the right shining directly on the mountains. The water may look 3D but it's actually a 2D plane, and with the finished material, it's affected by light and shadows in the scene, making it look 3D.
A small terrain is the island here and I made the trees. The three on the right make it look like it's windy out. The Sun is not bright enough so it looks like a circle with a light spreading out.
The same problem with the Sun applies here. These are the same terrains as 3 scenes before, but I changed the water material.
Airplanes
The three jets are all the same with a green camoflauge material.
These are the same jets from above, but with a white reflective metal material. The cloud to the right is messed up.
This looks like a dogfight.
The same jet just above the water. The water is on a 2D plane and the bump height and Noise of the material make it look 3D.
A WWII North American P-51 Mustang just after takeoff. It looks like you are taking the picture from a pursuit aircraft.
The same P-51's high above the water on a cloudless day. They are organized in to two formations: the front is an element, and the back is a line.
The same jets from earlier with the same white reflective metal over different water and different clouds.

Animations
The camera is linked to the plane so everything but the plane appears to move. They do this a lot in car commercials.
  Just a P-51 fly-by.
The same three jets from the images fly in an element by the camera, which catches up and flies beside them.

3D Links
A great way to enter the world of 3D. Has everything from contests, news, picture galleries, free stuff, forums, tutorials, and more.
This is simply a page with links to almost every other major 3D page out there.
Another great site with lots of 3D info and links.
The Lightwave 3D home page.
