Welcome to the Eastern Massachusetts ARES/RACES/SKYWARN training page.
Look to this section for information on upcoming ARES training, RACES
Training, SKYWARN Training and all other forms of emergency
communication and public service training that is sponsored by
MEMA, FEMA, the National Weather Service and anyone else who gives
me training information.
Bill Ricker, N1VUX, is on the ARES Section Staff in Eastern
Massachusetts as Emergency Coordinator in charge of training. He
has developed a full 7 hour Emergency Communication Workshop that
is being refined and distributed to the Eastern Massachusetts section
2-3 times a year in an effort to train amateurs in Emergency
Communications during ARES, RACES and SKYWARN activations.
Information on go-kits, NTS and other forms of emergency communication
will also be provided here. Please check often for updates on training
sessions and emergency communication training information that will
not only be useful for people in Eastern Massachusetts, but for people
across the country involved in ARES/RACES/SKYWARN and public safety.
