Barrel
is excellently marked on top with Smith & Wesson address. Barrel is
dull gray in color with lightly rounded edges and corners and no original
finish. Barrel lockup to the frame is excellent. Ejector rod beneath the
barrel is slightly battered. Brass frame has about 80% original tarnished
silver plating present. Seven shot cylinder is well marked with some very
light pitting present, obscuring a portion of the last patent date. Two
piece rosewood grips have about 85% original varnish, fit well and are
not broken or worn. Serial number 89431. Assembly number x2 in appropriate
places. Action works very well.
Overall
condition is Very Good plus. Please note: Buyer pays $15 shipping and insurance. This piece is offered here as a courtesy to my friend and colleague Dr. Arthur Tobias. For more information or to buy it, please contact Art directly at harvart@mindspring.com. My personal guarantee of 3 day inspection and right of return if received promptly back in Art's hands undamaged and unfired, is the same as if I were the seller. ~Bob Brecht |
