You cannot log on to the network
q Delete information on the three white boxes on the logon screen and retype your: username, password, and domain name: wpsnet (or wednet.)
q Make sure that you spell your username correctly. In many cases (but not all) your username is your last name, followed by your first initial of your first name, without spaces.
q If you get a message that the username is not found, check the network connection cable to see that it is securely connected to the computer and to the cable drop connection on the wall. The cable looks like a telephone wire with a clip at both ends.
You are not sure if you are on the network
q From the computer desktop, double click on the icon, Network Neighborhood. If the window displays many computers names, such as BRLibStudent01, then you are connected to the network.
An empty window like this means you are not connected to the network and will not be able to use e-mail, Internet and other networked applications:
