You can change the Save default so that WedNet other users, who have older versions of Microsoft Office, will be able to read Office 2000 files when sent as an attachment in e-mail.

In Microsoft Word 2000:

1.      In the Menu Bar, select Tools.

2.      Select Options.

3.      Select the tab, Save.

4.      In the “Save Word Files as:” Dialog Box, change the selection to Word 6.0/95.
Click on OK.

In Microsoft Excel 2000:

1.      In the Menu Bar, select Tools.

2.      Select Options.

3.      Select the tab, Transition.

1.      In the “Save Excel Files as:” Dialog Box, change the selection to Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook.  Click on OK.

In Microsoft PowerPoint 2000:

1.      In the Menu Bar, select Tools.

2.      Select Options.

3.      Select the tab, Save.

4.      In the “Save PowerPoint files as:” Dialog Box, change the selection to PowerPoint 95 Presentation.  Click on OK.

Microsoft Access 2000 cannot be saved “down” and read by users who have older versions.
