Dear Ms./Mr.,

I wish to introduce you to a collection of contemporary Armenian and Russian Art offered for sale for the first time. This collection includes 68 original art works of the most interesting artists of former Soviet Union and features different media such as oil, WC, drawings, lithos and etchings.
The idea behind this collection is to show the development of Soviet Art from Stalin to Gorbachev. Represented artists belong to three generations.

• The first generation was born at the turn of the century and belongs to the "gold fund" of the Russian and Western art and culture. D.Mitrokhin, V.Lebedev, A.Kaplan and M.Abeghian are represented in the collection.
  
  
• The second generation was born in the early 20s. Such names as honored artists M.Avetisian, K.Vartanian, P.Aknuni, E.Artsrunian and V.Aivasian are classical names and also represented in the collection.
  
  
• The third generation was born in 30-40s. Represented artists are V.Kalinin, L.Avedissian, E.Karazian, V.Khrushch. They are all well known in both Europe and America.

A lot of works of mentioned artists were bought by famous museums such as the Russian Museum in St.Petersburg, the Tretiakov Gallery in Moscow, the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Pompidou Center in Paris and other museums and private collectors around the world. A lot of works from this collection are reproduced in monographs and art books devoted to contemporary Russian Art.
In the following I make available a list of main exhibitions, bibliographies and biographies of the represented artists.
These works of museum quality will be interesting for art students and art historians as well as for people interested in the history and development of contemporary Russian Art.
