INVESTMENT STRATEGY:
HOW TO BECOME WEALTHY
If you start to invest at an early age, it is not difficult to become wealthy. The majority of this course will pertain to INVESTMENT STRATEGY. However, we must also devote some time to COMMON SENSE SPENDING. It is going to be fun, easy, and loaded with interesting information every investor should know. I will be giving each student $250,000 PLAY dollars to invest in stocks over the Internet. You will not only plot your progress but also learn how to research stocks, bonds, and other securities. When you sign up for this course, you will have taken the first step in becoming wealthy.
Instructor
Rusty Taylor has been teaching for 25 years. He is certified in Business Education K-12 and Computer Technology. He coaches Cross-Country at Hodgdon High School and runs 40-50 miles a week. He is a private pilot and a swimming-lifeguard instructor for the Red Cross. He has a BS in Accounting from UMM and a MEd and CAS from UMO in Education. He is a Certified Maine Assessor and teaches for the Bureau of Taxation-Property Tax Division during the summer.
PREREQUISITIES
You will learn how to become wealthy by investing wisely and getting into the habit of spending wisely and using common sense in most of your purchases.
You will also learn and practice skills that are required for clear and effective communication using the internet. You'll send e-mail messages to other students and me at rustytaylor@msad70.org
You will explore web pages from all over the world pertaining to investing and developing your own investment portfolio.
You will be expected to give this project your very best effort and turn in your best work. Nothing less will be accepted. If you have questions....ask! When you have found it this far and are ready to get down to work, start with the first assignment. Remember to have fun!
