The Second Annual Essay Contest
The purpose of this contest is to promote awareness of the rich cultural
heritage of which Americans of Polish ancestry can be proud. The contest
encourage all young students to gain a better understanding of the history
and cultural contributions of the Polish people to the United States.
Contestants will write an essay on the historical accomplishments of
Poles or Polish Americans. Contestants can also select a topic on Poles
who are presently making history through current events.

part in the pilgrimage procession.
The route of the pilgrimage procession from the Cathedral has been
announced as follows:
it begins Southeast on Starr King to O'Farrell, follow O'Farrell to
Stockton. Take a right on Stockton
and cross Market. Follow 4th Street to the Embarcadero, and into Pacific
Bell Park.
The distance is 1.5 miles, and our plan for Nativity walkers is to
meet at the Nativity Church, and walk from the Nativity Church to join
the procession.
