Links Galore...

Ok, this page may not flow as well with the rest of my site but I think the skull gif is kind of cool and hey, it's my web site:) Besides, it literally reveals the black side of my personality (oh, admit it, everyone has one). The following links have some sort of significance for me, directly or indirectly. I've chosen links ranging from the letters A-J instead of A-Z because I thought 26 links corresponding with the alphabet on my page was a little excessive. I chose to end with the letter J because it is conveniently the first letter of my first name and since it is my web site, I can afford to be slightly egocentric:) Check the following out and I hope they are somewhat interesting for you.

A=Astrology No, I'm not some new age freak, I just find both Western and Eastern astrology fascinating. In fact, I'm not ashamed to admit that it is one of my favorite pastimes (typical of the Aquarian Monkey that I am). I always take everything I uncover with a grain of salt but I do find that the sweeping generalizations are fairly accurate. And it is just fun! As with anything else in life, I always try to look at the individual and try not to classify them as horoscope signs or any other group.

B=Berkeley Ah, my alma mater! I love both the university and the city. I was so lucky to have spent 4 of my most formative years there. Every kind of fighting instinct I have I think comes from that institution because I had to fight to get every one of my required courses in order to graduate:) If you are curious at all about this institution of learning, make sure you visit their web site.

C=CDC (Centers For Disease Control) This is a pretty interesting site if you are interested in health, info and stats on diseases. I first came upon this site at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, where I volunteer.

D=Duran Duran Ah, music soothes the soul! This site brings back memories from the 80's when I grew up, was one of the biggest Duranies alive, and thought I was going to someday become Mrs. John Taylor (the fine ex-bass player) of the band. If you liked the band at all during that decade, take a look at this site for some retro goodies.

E=Employment Work, work, work...it's in my blood, what can I say? Or maybe more accurately, a strong work ethic. Besides, doing work that I love makes my gray matter tick! To try to adhere to my site motif, working is a great opportunity to absorb knowledge, expand your scope, and contribute. So go ahead, I dare you to check out my resumé...and maybe even hire me:) I am looking for part-time employment in multimedia currently...

F=415 Productions This is a pretty neat, award-winning (from Macromedia, no less) web site to play around with. But make sure you've got Shockwave plugged in to get the most out of your fun.

G=Giraffes If I could be any one animal...the giraffe would be a strong choice for me. It's tall (which I'm not) and graceful (which I'm definitely not) and has always been an animal that appears to live with dignity. Dignity in life is good:)

H=Human Awareness Institute The world would be a better place if everyone took classes from this Institute. Now mind you, I've never taken a class from them but their concepts and name are right on. If everyone on this earth was more aware and considerate of one another, there would be a lot less human conflict and a lot more laughter.

I=Chris Isaak In my humble opinion, he's a very talented musician who lives in my home town of San Francisco. His voice and music really reach in and grab your soul, especially if you are into that sad, sappy, love stuff. This particular site is the "official" Reprise site but there are just oodles of fan pages devoted to him, so if you are interested...

J=January Ah, the first month of the year, where everything is new and everyone is trying to remember their New Year's Resolutions (also my birth month). This is a very simple page which counts down to January 1, 2000. Wow, a new century and really a brand new start:) I selected this because sometimes simplicity is refreshing and wonderful in life.
