I left my heart in San Francisco...and luckily it and I are still here again after a brief stay in NYC. This section of my site is kind of my personal homage to SF. I was so fortunate to grow up here and my love for this city is great. The following pictures reveal (hopefully) the beauty of the SF Bay Area and I think one should always take beauty where one can find it. When life gets challenging, and it inevitably gets that way sometimes, I think it's important to remember the simple beauty of life. Fortunately, for us residents of this area, it is pretty easy to locate. In fact, the Chinese character at the top of this page means beauty and is one of the characters in my Chinese name. I thought it was an appropriate graphic for this section of my site. I can go on and on about SF...but I do actually want you to see all the pictures:) In my humble opinion, the sensibilities and aesthetics of San Francisco are unmatched by any other city on this globe. So go ahead, soak it up like a sponge...

How does it go...on a clear day, you can see forever. The day that this pic was taken was one of those days. This shot was taken from Alamo Square Park of the Haight-Ashbury district of SF. This particular area is pretty famous for its gorgeous Victorian houses and here are a few of them to feast your eyes on. Fortunately I did not take this picture, my friend Seth Affoumado, who's a professional photographer, snapped this for me. And I think it shows:)

Look at that awesome view! This picture was taken high atop of Twin Peaks, which I believe is the highest point in San Francisco. The clouds in the sky were just unbelievable that day. If you look slightly to the left under the clouds rolling in, you might be able to see a little dark smudge which is actually Golden Gate Bridge. Here's a native's secret for you...on a weekend night, Twin Peaks is quite the makeout spot for young people in SF. My friend Mike snapped this for me by actually going out beyond the barricades of the Twin Peaks observation area. He so kindly assisted me because I was way too chicken to go anywhere too close to the edge.

Hey, it's the Chinese Joan Jett...but don't let the guitar fool you. That is my silouette in this picture but sad to say, I can't play a single chord, even if someone was standing over me beating me upside the head with music. And trust me, my friend did try...but I guess my talents lie elsewhere (I hope). My friend, Mike, who so generously loaned me his guitar for this shot and took the picture, is also the owner of this apartment with a great view. Don't tell him, but I covet both his apartment and incredible view every time I visit him:)
