Honors Awarded
to the unit
Since 1638


Many honors have been awarded to the unit since it began in 1638.
Some of them no more than streamers to be attached to the unit flag, others as bands on the guideon of the battery or company.

The first honor to be presented was to the 101st Field Artillery Battery F,
(later to be known as "C" Battery 212th)
This was for the Revolutionary war.

Battery A of the 101st engaged in the following battles; Wilderness, Spottsylvania, Cold Harbor, Petersburg and Appomattox for the Civil War.

For World War 1, the 101st Field Artillery Regiment was awarded streamers for ;
Ile De France, Lorraine, Champagne-Marne, Aisne- Marne, St Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne.

212thAFA Bn.-Honors for World War 2 were for the following;
Northern France, Ardennse-Alsace, Central Europe, Rhineland, Normandy.

The Foreign decoration by the French Government was the French Croix DeGuerre with silver gilt star and awarded at Lauroicourt France on September 22, 1944.

The History of the unit shows that it participated in every war, skirmish, or conflict except the Korean War until the unit was deactivated and renamed to the 101st Artillery Battalion.
