Dr. Alec M. Bodzin
Alec M. Bodzin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Human Services at Lehigh University and a member of the SERVIT (Science Education Research in Visual Instructional Technologies) Group at North Cartolina State University. He received his Ph.D. in Science Education at North Carolina State University as an NSF Graduate Research Trainee in Instructional Technology in Science Education. Dr. Bodzin's teaching areas include: secondary science education, elementary science education, instructional technology in K-12 education, and science visualizations. Dr. Bodzin's research interests include incorporating telecommunications into science curriculum development and implementation with emphasis on the roles that visual instructional technologies can play in these areas. Dr. Bodzin has produced a variety of Web- and CD-based inquiry instructional systems for science education with an emphasis on the teaching and learning of environmental issues. He also has a strong interest in evaluation design of Web-based science activities including network science projects. He teaches graduate courses in science education and instructional technology and is involved in the development of a variety of science education multimedia projects.
