: Hurrah! Finally have one. Now to get started. Any advice re set-up, etc.?

Congratulations!!!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. If you
haven't installed the game yet, here's my usual
suggestions:

*Make sure you load the version of QuickTime
that comes on the Obsidian disk. Newer versions
of QuickTime apparently won't work/won't work
as well with such an "old" game as Obsidian.

*Shut down all screensavers, virus checkers, etc.,
to attempt to eliminate anything which would
conflict with Obsidian.

*Make sure you review the read.me file that loads
with the game and "fine tune" your system
accordingly.

Let us know how it works out. Even though
Obsidian is an "old" game by current standards,
I still rank it at the top of my favorites
list (along with Riddle of the Sphinx).

Enjoy the game, and don't hesitate to come back
here if you need help, tips, spoilers, or just
want to talk trivia about the game.

Take care.
