Yes--I've noticed, too, that there's a difference
with how the game responds regarding the monitor
settings with Windows ME. When I was running
Obsidian on my "old" Win 95 system, the game
wouldn't proceed unless I set my monitor to
640 x 480. However, with Win ME, it asks me if
I REALLY want to proceed with my current monitor
settings (other than 640 x 480)--when I say "yes"
the game begins, albeit with a reduced game
image, centered and framed on the screen.
