Review
An album often overlooked in the Shitar catalogue, No Dogs
Allowed is the model of consistency. There is no
other album in all of Shitar's past that offers as much equal input
from all three band members. Mark Mistysyn makes a strong showing
with 4-and-a-half lead vocals, his most ever. Another Shitar comedic
tune, Turkey & Cheese received plenty
of airplay nationally. Other tunes like Anymore,
Hedgehog and No Dogs Allowed
also did well on the charts. One can't help be impressed with with the
virtuosity of Stimulate," a song that
allows the band the freedom to let loose musically. There are,
however, some weak songs on this album. But overall, another base
hit for Shitar.
