Review
Released just after The Great
Space Opera, Pain So Real
serves to fulfill Shitheads (the official Shitar fan club) with straight
forward rock. The album that almost wasn't recorded contains two
of Shitar's biggest hits, Jenny and Second
Fiddle, though neither of them was released as a single.
Those songs instead were the crunching Cry For a Hero,
To Live For and This Way.
This is power pop at its best, though not played at its best.
Shitar continues to improve as musicians, while remaining stellar as
songwriters.
