Review
To commerate and celebrate ten years of Shitar, the band offers up
a greatest hits compilation, concentrating on songs recorded between
1991 and 1996. Shitar actually had hoped to redo some of the earlier
songs and include them as an all-time best of, but due to time constraints,
this was not possible. Through their fan club, Shitar polled fans of
their favorite tunes and those were the songs that were chosen.
Matt Gorney oversaw this massive undertaking and was at the helm as
producer. The songs were great the first time we heard them and,
thanks to modern technology, sound even better now. The only
flaw is that some songs couldn't quite be sonically rescued, creating
a somewhat uneven feel. Otherwise, a great effort.
