John Gorney: Keyboards, Lead and Backing Vocals
One
of the two founding members of Shitar, keyboard virtuoso John Gorney has
always pulled the band into uncharted territory, taking risks with his
song writing. While some tunes have fallen to the wayside, other ventures
in punk rock and other more alternative sounds have lent the band part
of their irresistible sound. He is well known throughout musical circles
for his liberal use of the chord A minor. While John is primarily a keyboardist
and vocalist, he has also had minor contributions of guitar, bass, and
drums on Shitar albums since the very beginning when the band was founded
during studio sessions back in the late 1980's.
