Things We Like About Ann Coulter

I know, she's awful. But she does have her moments.

• She likes using em-dashes (you know, those long -- dashes that add parenthetical asides). I like em-dashes. Good for you Ann! (Although I deplore your refusal to add the last comma before the "and" in a series of three or more items.)
• She doesn't love Princess Diana. Sorry to those Diana lovers out there, but neither did AntiC.
• She likes Denzel Washington more than Julia Roberts, as shown from these March 28, 2002 quotes: "After Washington accepted his award, Roberts leapt on him and would not let go. It was as if he had grown some sort of exotic Julia Roberts wart. Not only Washington, but, more urgently, his wife deserves great credit for their forbearance...[Denzel] deserved that award. And he deserves a special award for not punching Julia Roberts in the mouth." Here! Here! Of course,that quote was in the context of a nasty essay attacking Halle Berry, no surprise.
• Coulter wants to build back the World Trade Centers. (Build Them Back! June 6, 2002.) I don't entirely agree--I think the original building were a bit dull--but I do want us to build back something as soaring and impressive. New York is my city and I don't want some fanatical religious extremists to tell us what our skyline is going to look like. Strangely enough, Coulter, a fanatical religious extremist, agrees. Of course, she claims all liberals don't ("The reason liberals prefer a park to luminous skyscrapers is that they are not angry.") but that's typical.
