abt 1642 when John was 22, he married Ruth REYNOLDS, daughter of Robert REYNOLDS & Mary. Born abt 1622 in England. Ruth died bet 1692-1706, she was 70.
They had child: 3 i. Nathaniel (1646-1732)

3. Nathaniel WHITNEY. Born on 1 Feb 1646 in Watertown, Mass. Nathaniel died in Weston, Mass. on 7 Jan 1732/33, he was 85.
On 12 Mar 1673 when Nathaniel was 27, he married Sarah HAGAR, daughter of William HAGAR & Mary BEMIS, in Watertown, Mass. Born on 3 Sep 1651 in Watertown, Mass. Sarah died in Weston, Mass. on 7 May/Mar 1746, she was 94.
They had child: 4 i. Nathaniel (1675-1730)

4. Nathaniel WHITNEY. Born on 25 Mar 1675 in Watertown, Mass. Nathaniel died in Watertwon, Mass. in 1730, he was 54.
On 7 Nov 1695 when Nathaniel was 20, he married Mercy ROBINSON, daughter of William ROBINSON & Elizabeth CUTTER. Born on 7 Aug 1676. Mercy died on 31 Dec 1740, she was 64.

Abigail (Whitney) SECOND married Samuel WOODS. Born on 19 Jun 1722 in Chelmsford, MA. Samuel died in Princeton, MA on 8 Nov 1808, he was 86.
