babies, twin boys, twin men and twin girls. One from Iowa, the others from
various places in NY.

- sisters Possibly Harriet Coons on left.
- A house in Salt Point , Dutchess County,
NY This photo was made into a post card (as the Tompkins/ Mars family
loved to do), however it is glued into a scrap book so I can't see the
date or any other info. I do know that the Tompkins boys, sons of Uriah
Washburn Tompkins and Harriet Coons were born in Salt Point
in 1870's-80's. And I have a letter written by their Aunt Catherine
Coons in 1935 postmarked Salt Point. In her letter she refers to her
house as Abbie's house. Her sister was Abbie Coons who married
Mr. DeLavergne. So, unknown if this house was possibly the DeLavergne
house or the Tompkins house (or one in the same, or neither).1920 NY census
has Abigail DeLavergne living in Salt Point (Pleasant Valley) with
her son Charles DeLavergne, his wife (unnamed), their daughter Meridith
DeLavergne. Next door is a Paul DeLavergne, his wife (unreadable,
maybe Winifred)and their son Mason DeLavergne.

Unkown who the 3 oldest ppl on the right are, except that the older woman
on the extreme right is referred to as "Gram" by Marion and Bill
Tompkins who are the children in photo. Their grandmother on the maternal
Mars side is there, Elizabeth Mars. The oldest woman second in on the right
is also found in tin types and other portaits with Elizabeth Mars. There
is a Mrs. Rehms who is mentioned in postcards. Unkown if she is one of
these women.
