Know ye that on the sixth Day of Sept A.D. 1785. The Instrument hereunto annexed purporting the last will and Testament whereof Daniel Greenleaf late of Bolton in Said County deceased Was presented for probate by Wm Greenleaf one of the Executors therein named present Robert Longhy & Nath'l Longhy two of the witnesses thereto subscribed who made oath that they saw the Said Testator Sign Seal & heard him declare the Said Instrument to be his last will and Testament & that they with John Whitcomb Junr. The other witness subscribed their names together as witnesses to the Execution thereof in the Said Testator presence, & that he was then to the best of their Judgment of a Sound & Disposing mind. I do prove approve and allow of the said Instrument as the last will and Testament of said Deceased, and do commit the administration thereof in all matters the Same concerning & of his Estate whereof he died lived & prospered in said Commonwealth unto Israel William & Calvin Greenleaf the Executors mentioned his Said Will well & faithfully to Execute the same & to administer the Estate of said Deceased Estate unto the probate office in the same County as the said death, & they shall render an account upon oath of their proceedings when thereunto Lawfully Required. In Testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal of office the Day & year above said.

In the name of God Amen the first Day of Oct. A.D. 1774 I Daniel Greenleaf of Bolton in the County of Worcester and State of Massachusetts Bay physician being of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God therefore Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is apparent unto all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and commend my sould into the hands of God that gave it and my body I commend to be buried in a Decent and Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor, nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall Receive the same again by the mighty power of God -- And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this life, I give Devise and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form -----

I give and bequeath unto Dorotha my Dearly and Beloved wife all that she brought to me, and all that she has purchased with her own money as all the articles are mentioned in an inventory annexed to this my last will and Testament; also 30 [shillings] money to be paid her by my Executors.

Item. I give unto the Line of my first Son Daniel Greenleaf [Jr.] all that their Father was obliged to pay me by a Bond Bearing Date May 1st 1760.

Item. I give unto my Second Son Israel Greenleaf my gun and silver head staff.

Item. I give unto my third Son Stephen Greenleaf all that he is obliged to pay me by bond excepting one years payment upon the bond, also a Debt made to me from Dennis Louhlin[?], and a folio Book of Mr. Glavely[?] Works.

Item. I give unto my fourth son David Greenleaf all that he was obliged to pay me by bond or note.

Item. I give unto my Fifth son William Greenleaf Six Vol. Of D_____ D_____ Family Expositor[?].

Item. I give unto my Sixth son Calvin Greenleaf all my Husbandry Utensils and my Clock.

Item. I give unto my two Daughters Elizabeth John and Mary Wheeler one bed and beding togather with one half of my Household Linen and woolen not otherwise given away to be equally Divided between them.

And after my just debts and funeral Charges are paid and grave stones to be provided and set up at my Eldest son Daniels grave I give my Book Debts Bonds & notes of hand and whatever is found to be mine at my Decease which has not been disposed of to be Equally Divided between my three sons Israel William and Calvin and I constitute make & ordain my said three sons Israel William and Calvin to be my Executor of this my last will and Testament and I hereby utterly Reboke Disanull and make Void all and ever other former Testaments Wills Legacies bequeath[s] & Executors by me in any way before named wills and Bequeath[s], Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day & year above written. Signed Sealed Published pronounced & Declared by the said Daniel Greenleaf as his last will & Testament in presents of us the subscribers.

2 bed [???] and pillows, 1 Chest of Drawers, 1 large oval table, 1 small & 1 Large Looking glass, 2 flat irons, 2 brass Chaffing Dishes, 1 brass Skillett, 1 Small brass Kettle, 1 brass shimmer[,] all the pewter, 6 pictures, 6 chairs, 1 Toasting Iron, 1 cow, 1 bed stand, 1 Cheese tub, half the bedding woollens & linens, half the other Linnins, 1 Doz Stone plates, 2 large Silver Spoons & teaspoons marked D. W., China Tea cups & Saucers, 1 large Iron pot, 1 [???]k, 1 butter tub, 2 meal bags, 1 bread [???], 1 [???] [???], 1 large [???] Table Cloth & 1 napkin marked E. W., all her warring [wearing] apparel, 1 sham, 1 Chopping knife, 1/2 Doz [???] plates, 1 [???] mugg, the small [???], 1 pr Bellows, 1 case knives & forks white handle, a Red large chest, 1 bed Quilt, 1 [???], 1 blanket, 1 glass Decanter Tea.
