CMT-1B DNA testing
There is a DNA test for CMT type 1B. Where to get a blood sample tested is TBD.
Athena Diagnostics, formerly Genica Pharmaceuticals Corporation, is located at Four Biotech Park, 377 Plantation Street, Worchester, MA 01605. They can be reached by calling 1-800-394-4493.
Included in CMTnet are reprints of several Athena Diagnostics fliers. Since Hereditary Neuropathy with liability to Pressure Palsy (HNPP) presents similar symptoms to CMT, the HNPP flier is also included. These web pages are not associated with Athena Diagnostics. Check directly with Athena Diagnostics for the latest information.
CMTers do not call Athena Diagnostics directly, work through your family doctor.
