estled in the Connecticut River Valley, the Garden of Delights Bed and Breakfast is located in Hadley and a mere hop and a skip from Northampton, Amherst, South Hadley, Easthampton, and Deerfield. Its past is intriguing. With the fine riverbed soil, Hadley was settled by farmers, and this house was built for those who cultivated and profited from some of the most fertile land in the country. The two large barns on the farm were used for tobacco and onions. The original farmhouse is now our lovely bed and breakfast. For many years it was the home of a large family of seven children who helped farm vegetables, fruits, and flowers in the summer and during the long winter months painted. A large mural remains in the dining room and many paintings of these artists adorn the walls of the bed and breakfast.

During the summer months the Garden of Delights is also a pesticide free farm with an active farm stand. The beds of flowers are picked daily for bouquets and are open to "pick your own flowers" during part of the summer. A large variety of unique vegetables are grown here and local corn and berries are sold at the farm stand as well.

The old house itself is a charming 19th century farmhouse. Guests enjoy the privacy of their own quarters with a separate entrance, beautifully furnished dining room and parlor just for them, private bathroom, one large bedroom (queen) and a smaller one (twin beds and or pack and play crib) for children, family members, or friends. This Bed and Breakfast is extremely comfortable for a couple or a family. Continental breakfasts are self serve and will include your choice of cold cereals, pastries, toast, yogurt, juice, coffee, or tea. We will have local fruits in season.

There is a computer connection, AC, cable TV and a phone. Your pets will be happier at home. We are also a smoke free Bed and Breakfast.
