Classic Entertainment Trés Divi is a musical collaboration of three of Boston's finest performing artists, Michael Calmès, Priscilla Gale, and William Merrill. They offer exciting and diverse programs to fit almost any concert series. A complete portfolio is available upon request.
Ms. Gale is a member of the voice faculty of Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut. Her career spans 18 years with professional experience throughout the United States and Europe in a variety of opera, operetta, concert and oratorio works. She can be heard on the 1995 Musical America CD. Her resume summarizes over sixty performances. Her most recent performances include Violetta in Arizona Opera's 1997 production of "La Traviata."
Mr. Calmès' career spans nearly two decades of performances in opera, musical theater, and as a soloist with orchestras, choruses, and ensembles throughout the U.S. His repertoire encompasses hundreds of works ranging from Monteverdi to Mozart, Mahler, and contemporary masters. He has also sung concert tours in Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, and most recently, China. Next season he will perform in Barcelona and southern France.
Mr. Merrill is a noted pianist and vocal coach, having performed in such prestigious halls as Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, San Francisco War Memorial Auditorium and Boston's Jordan Hall. He has been affiliated with leading opera companies as well as a distinguished member of the faculty of Longy School of Music and Tufts University Opera Ensemble. Most recently, he can be heard on CD, "Songs of Arthur Sullivan" on Pearl label. He is a principal coach and accompanist of the Boston Aria Guild. Trés Divi offers distinguished musical programs to enhance any concert series. First is an all-opera program of best-loved arias and duets from Mozart to Verdi, Aida to Die Zauberflote. The second program is a charming and romantic bouquet of operetta by composers such as Strauss, Lehar, and Romberg. Third is a tribute to classic musical theater with selections by Kern, the Gershwins, Rodgers & Hart, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, Sondheim, Bernstein, and many more. The fourth program is a virtuoso combination of opera, operetta, and musical theater masterpieces. The versatile artists of Trés Divi also offer special programs for the holiday season.
