Tranzdanze is a transformation...a lifedance. This music is a collection of improvisations that evolved into these compositions and ideas. While composing these pieces I heard David's rich & beautiful cello sound & so the journey began...

Monica Robelotto is a pianist, educator, composer, recording artist and percussionist. Solidly rooted in classical training, Monica has also studied jazz and improvisation with some of the greatist musicians of our time. She has emerged with her own unique style and brings to us this latest collection of pieces for piano and cello. Monica says that the title "Tranzdanze" represents the transformation of life and what she sees around her...her life and other's lives, feelings, pain, love and connectedness. Monica performs and teaches throughout New England in a variety of venues as both pianist and percussionist. Her work ranges from compositions for piano and children's story books to playing the rubboard in Zydico bands to improvisational soundscapes for dance performances to teaching. Monica's music has been featured on "Hearts of Space" and "Echoes" national radio programing.
