Debra Swack is a new media artist whose projects have been internationally exhibited at many institutions including the Banff Center for the Arts, the New York Hall of Science ("Tomorrow", curated by Anne Barlow of the New Museum), The Arts and Genomics Centers in both Amsterdam and Vancouver, Xerox's Palto Alto Lab, Real Art Ways ("Works from the Sol LeWitt Collection") and the Beecher Center for Arts and Technology.

 

Many of her projects are in the collection of the New Museum's new media archives and mentioned in Xerox Parc’s “Art and Innovation” and Stephen Wilson’s “Information Arts” both published by MIT Press. She was also published in the 2006 competition issue of PhotoReview, selected by Philip Brockman, Senior New Media and Photography Curator at the Corcoran.

 

She is now collaborating with the Mind Brain Institute in Switzerland on a project exploring emotions and the brain ("The Emotions" after Charles Darwin) and is employed as a consultant for the SUNY@Buffalo Research Foundation.
