"The Balcony Scene":
Juliet's balcony is never actually mentioned in the play, although it is
obvious that Romeo is quite enamored of it. For some lively discussion, ask
your teacher how big Juliet's balcony really was.
For extra credit, write a paper, discussing the possible relevance of the
architecture to the plays of the Elibethan Theatre. Discuss important building
structures. Include references, if possible, to the size and scope of her
"bay window." Analyze the significance of Juliet's "curves" and her "buttresses."
