Is Juliet complimenting Romeo? Was this kiss "perfect," of the sort which should be preserved in books for ages to come? Or, is this a bit of an insult? "You kiss by the book," as in, "you kiss as if you learned by reading some sort of How-To-Manual..." 'Insert Tab A into Slot B, and manipulate the...'

Or, is she merely pointing out that he is standing right next to the family bookcase... we shall never know.
