The big party:

Any party in the Renaissance might be assumed to be a "masquerade" party, with lots of disguises and such. As a matter of fact, the word "masque," which was short for "masquerade," used to mean any party at all. How one was supposed to try to find a "beautiful girl" in a room full of disguised people is a mystery which is not dealt with, here.
