Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt Therapy is the primary approach I use for doing psychotherapy. It also provides the guiding framework for all of the other approaches I use in my work. Since it is so important, I am providing this page of links to give you more information about Gestalt Therapy theory and practice.

Gestalt - An Image of Reality by Lars Berg

This page gives a description (though not a transcript) of four Gestalt Therapy sessions with a particular client. It gives you a general taste of what it can be like to do Gestalt Therapy with Lars Berg. Gestalt Therapy is not limited to what is covered in this brief example.

Gestalt Therapy: An Introduction

This is an excellent, approximately 30 page description of the theory and practice of Gestalt Therapy. It starts out a little slow in the beginning, but gets very interesting as you proceed. It is probably the best encapsulation of Gestalt Therapy around.

Gestalt Therapy and Spirituality

This is a nice short article that describes the connection between Gestalt Therapy and spiritual disciplines. In doing so, it also gives the reader more of a feel for Gestalt Therapy itself.
