WebBattleship

This is a Web version of the classic Battleship board game.

Play WebBattleship!

Instructions

The goal is to sink all your opponent's ships before your opponent sinks yours. Your opponent is the computer.

There are two blue playfields displayed. Yours is the one on the left. The computer's is the one on the right.

Each player has five ships, each of which occupies a certain number of squares on the playfield:

To sink a ship, you must score a hit on each of the squares occupied by the ship.

You and the computer take turns shooting at each other's ships. You shoot by clicking one of the squares on the right-hand playfield which you haven't already tried.

The squares you haven't yet tried are displayed as question marks:

If you hit a ship, an explosion is displayed. If you miss, a splash is displayed.

If you lose, the locations of the enemy ships are displayed.

Unlike the actual board game, you do not get to choose where you want your ships placed. Instead, they are automatically placed at random. If you're not happy with the placement, feel free to hit Restart to get a new arrangement.

Have fun, and good luck!
