Nature's Symphonya poem by Lily Crawford
photo by Stew Woodruff, 1978 Sangre de Christo Mountains, Colorado
Steep mountain peaksAmong the deep rich valleysSpread out before me.The far horizon welcomes the sunAs it descends behind the heavenly scene. All is peaceful before the great eventA hush falls over the viewThat brings tears to my eyes--Such rich vibrant colors blendTo create a majestic scene.Nature is His symphonyEvery creature is a memberAnd on a warm evening in NovemberA masterpiece is performed. All get in tune for the grand finaleAs I look on in awe. Then all is quietNight falls across the hillsThe moon rises and lights the worldWith its luminous brilliance.
