Remember Me

I planted a tree for you to
see,
It's to remind you of a love
that came to be
Between a man and his children
so young,
A sweeter song could never be
sung.
So when you glance out of your
window
Through sunshine or rain
Remember the laughter and
smiles,
The jokes and trials.
And as this tree grows ever
higher
And spreads its branches
toward you, dear,
Look back with fondness and
unshed tear.
The man who loved you best
Is just stopping to take a
rest.
