Order & Renew Your Magazines Online.  It’s EASY!

·  Go to www.aphearst.com

·  Click “Shop Online”

·  Search for “St. Patrick’s School” or enter code WA9971

·  Enter student name when prompted (to ensure your family gets the credit!)

·  Shop for magazines and pay with your credit card.

When you order your magazines through www.aphearst.com, not only are you able to use your credit card, but you get an immediate confirmation and are able to track your order online.  No more wondering whether your order was actually received and processed!  The prices are very competitive – pretty much the same price as you would pay if you were to renew directly through the publisher, and the profit is 45%!

Pass the website and school code onto friends and relatives, near and far, and ask them to order/renew their magazines through this website and input your family’s name when prompted.  Orders that they place will automatically be credited to you, and the profit goes toward the SCRIP amount you’ve raised.  Remember, after you raise $100 in SCRIP/Magazines, all future profits are split 50/50 between your family and the school.

If you would rather pay with check, please get a form from the office.  When you are ready to place your order, return the form and a check made payable to “St. Patrick School” and return to the office, attention Michelle or Pam.

What is Scrip and why should I participate?

How SCRIP Works: When you participate in the Scrip Program, you purchase gift cards/certificates for only those stores/vendors that you normally frequent.  You are not being asked to spend any money that you are not already spending.  These gift cards are the same cards that you would purchase if you were to go directly to the store or vendor, which also makes them great for gift-giving.

Ordering Procedures: SCRIP forms will be sent home with your child each month. The order will normally be due the following Friday, and cards will be ready for pickup (in the office or sent home with your child) the following Friday. At this time, only checks (preferred) and cash are accepted. Please make checks payable to "Saint Patrick School."

What's in it for the Vendors? The vendors provide the gift cards at a discount, which averages 8%. In return, vendors get to support a charity, advertise, and sell their gift cards in bulk. As parents, we get to support the school without spending any additional money, and the school gets the profits. Everyone wins!

What Vendors Participate: Hundreds of vendors participate including Macy's, JC Penney, Gap, Sears, Loew's Theater, Chunky's Theater, Home Depot, Stop and Shop, Chili's, Outback Steakhouse, Wendy's, Burger King, Build-A-Bear, Toys R Us, Barnes and Nobles, etc. The list goes on and on ...!

A Real-Life Example: You take your family out on a Saturday evening for dinner and a movie.  You would probably spend $40 at the movies by the time you pay for the tickets and snacks and another $60 for dinner.  You would have spent this money with or without Scrip, but by using Scrip, you have made the school approximately $10.  If you do your grocery shopping at Stop and Shop and spend $400 per month, that's another $16 for the school.  Add to that, average monthly expenditures for birthday gifts, clothing, fast food, and other incidentals, you could easily earn $40+ for the school per month...without spending any additional money!  Multiply that by 100 families and 10 months, you can see how quickly the profits add up.

Magazine Subscriptions:  You can also purchase or renew your magazine subscriptions through Scrip.  The cost to purchase or renew is the same as you would pay to purchase or renew through the publisher, but by purchasing or renewing through Scrip, the school gets 40% profit! And The BEST News ... as an incentive and reward for those who actively participate, we are offering you a chance to directly reduce your tuition!  Once your family raises $100 in profits, all future profits will be split 50/50 between you and the school. This will be reflected as a reduction in your next year's tuition or reimbursed in the form of a check if your child will not be returning to the school.
