 SOCCER TEAM

St. Patrick School offers both a Boys and a Girls Soccer Team.  Both teams are members of the Tri-County Sports Conference and compete in the small school division. We are committed to fielding teams in these sports as long as there is student interest and there are adult volunteers available to coach.  There is a $55 per sport user fee assessed to each team member to pay for equipment, uniforms, officials, and a sports banquet with awards.
Boys from grades 5-8 are eligible to compete on the boy's school team; For girls -- sign up is first offered to grades 6, 7 and 8, and then, depending on remaining space available, it is extended to 5th graders. Tryouts are held in August each year; practices begin in August also.  In order to participate in our athletic program, a student must have no "F" grades on the previous quarter's report card in any subject and no more than 1 "D" grade.  A student with serious disciplinary issues may be removed from the team.  Prior to the first scheduled team practice, each team member must a have a current sports physical on file with the school nurse, and a signed parental permission slip.
There are approximately 8-10 games during the season.   Uniforms are provided, however, each athlete is responsible for his own socks, cleats, and shin pads.  Please contact Gael Ouellette, Athletic Director, for more information.

SKI PROGRAM

The Ski/Snowboard Program is offered as part of our Winter Enrichment Program on Monday afternoons in January/February.  All participants are enrolled in either skiing or snowboarding lessons at Pat's Peak in Henniker, NH, according to their abilities.  Round-trip transportation is provided and students are supervised by a dedicated team of parents and school staff.  Mrs. Denise Montminy, French Teacher, is the Staff Coordinator for this program.
Students are dismissed at 12:15 on five consecutive Mondays.  Transportation is by rented motorcoach buses, supervision is provided by school personnel and parent volunteers.  There is a fee for this activity, which covers transportation, lessons, and ski rental.

SOFTBALL

Our school offers a girl's softball team in the spring.  Sign up is first offered to grades 7 and 8, and then, depending on remaining space available, the sign-up will also be extended to 6th graders.  This team is not involved in an official school softball league, but instead has scheduled scrimmage games against local area schools.  The coaches are parent volunteers.

Practices are usually held twice each week; days and times are announced to players.  Games are scheduled on weekdays after school.  The softball team wears school uniforms.
