If you like spinach as much as I do, you will love this bread. It's an interesting mottled green color and very tasty.

Original recipe
1 pkg yeast
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp sugar
2-2/3 c bread flour
1/2 c whole-grain rye flour
1 T gluten
1-1/4 tsp salt
1 T seeds (caraway, comino, dill or fennel) or 3/4 tsp ground black pepper (all optional)
1 unbeaten egg
2 T salad oil
1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, defrosted w/liquid
1/4 c warm water

What I made for my machine (Toastmaster)
1 pkg spinach (as above)
1/4 c water
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 c whole wheat flour
2-2/3 c bread flour
3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 T onion flakes
1/4 tsp ginger

(Rose too high for my machine; I will have to cut it down)
