So, here we are, drinking wine and having a good time and we have to all stop and eat the main meal because june is hungry. Appetizers are not good enough for her. Oh, no. June wants to eat.

I've been to four cookins with her and let me tell you...don't get between June and the main meal....if you value your life.

You know, I felt sorry for her until the rumbling of her stomach started to interfere with conversation. Then I got scared. When the rumbling drowned out the planes from Kennedy, I got out of the way!

I met June at Kate's Chicago cookin. She's actually very polite in person. You'd be surprised.

Well, there's the problem right there. That wasn't june. That was Josh Iro dressed up and parading as june. You're quite correct though, Josh is very polite.

poo poo

i hadn't eaten a damn thing all day, other than to taste what i was bringing to make sure it was edible or that i hadn't mistaken the soy sauce for a black yeast culture or sumpin'.

> I've been to four cookins with her

yeah, laura and i have all gone to the same ones (2 in nyc, 1 in chicago, 1 in dc). it's strange. i am starting to feel like i can't go to one w/o her.

damn straight. and don't cross me when i'm hungry. if you hadn't noticed, i am far more amiable when i am full.

then again, i ate soup while everyone was drinking wine, and had a small sampling of profiteroles before they'd been in pam's apartment for more than five minutes...

good food, good times.

before i begin, i would just like everyone to know that laura is being mean to me. she asks to post from my account, since she doesn't have a shell with netcome (.cough. .cough.), and what does she do? say mean things about me.

okay, now i have that off my chest. back to the cookin.

yumm... everyone is here, but the food is slowly diminishing.

don is here, assiduously avoiding the cat (which, incidentally, i haven't seen), enthusing about the paleolithic diet. there is an interesting discussion about the value of organ meats vs. muscle meats going on. i am waiting for someone to bring up placenta. :) carolina wants to know where the mammoth for slaughter comes from.

all of pam's children and friends have arrived, and one had a near orgasmic fit about the gnocchi. i wasn't a foodie at that age. it's nice to see that some people are.

bob went crazy in the herb garden and dressed his salmon exuberantly. it is excellent. birnam wood meets the ocean.

hmm... well, it's time to go for seconds.

The two kittens were not present. I didn't ask where they were, but stayed out on the terrace anyway.

The unseen kitty was at the vet's being snipped (male scrunched faces). Noone ate either of them--there was too much food brought to have to resort to carnivores....
