Cake Donuts requires a donut pan original recipie came with the donut pan pre-heat oven to 325 degrees 2 cups flour 3/4 cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1tsp salt 1 tbsp dairy-free margarine 2 eggs, beaten (never made these without eggs) 3/4 cup water (original called for milk) (could substitute apple cider) 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp cinnamon (original also called for 1/4 tsp nutmeg) whisk dry ingredients add wet ingredients beat till well blended - but not too much oil the donut pan (spray it?) fill donuts depressions about 2/3 full bake 8 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched if making full-sized donuts, bake 20-30 minutes cool and remove from pan decorate (dip in melted chocolate, or cinnamon sugar, or glaze with sprinkles) Makes 36 mini-donuts or about a dozen regular size donuts I've only made these a couple of times. Melting chocolate and then dipping the donuts flat into it (to get a surface glaze on one side) works great!
