Bead artist Gloria Leight is well known in the Lehigh Valley arts
community for her distinctive and sophisticated jewelry. Using Egyptian
and Celtic motifs, her one-of-a kind pieces feature subtle color palettes
affected by light and movement, so that they appear to "breathe",
as well as a variety of gemstones which lend their own
attributes to her creations.
A native of Center Valley, Pennsylvania, Gloria enjoyed successful careers
in both fashion and home interior design before discovering the intricate
beauty of beadwork in Phoenix, Arizona, where she learned classic Native
American and European knotting techniques. Since then, she has incorporated
her own ideas into her work, resulting in shimmering, water-smooth wearable
art with the look of ancient royaltythat is her trademark.
