With only 4 lanes available in the feature, you have to qualify your way in to the race. This can be accomplished by either, winning your heat race (which scores more points) or, winning one of the consolation races.

You are assigned your lane and heat race by picking chips from a can. The chips are marked with a race number and a lane number. The amount of chips in the can depend on how many drivers show up that night. We have a total of 12 chips marked as follows that will cover up to 12 racers.
