The Wedding by Zlanna@AOL.com "To tell you the truth Commander, it nearly turned me off on Bachelor parties all together!" Chief O'Brien was sitting in a small room that adjoined the ten-forward lounge. He peered into the gaily decorated ten-forward lounge filled with tropical flowers that filled the room with their heavy perfume. He gratefully took the ale from Will Riker as he watched the last minute preparations. Riker was in rare form tonight, thoroughly enjoying himself. "Here Chief. Have some more ale, or would you rather have a scotch?" Riker offered holding the bottle temptingly in the air. O'Brien reached over taking the entire bottle from the First Officer. "Now, you are talking Commander!" Riker laughed, "Miles, call me Will." "Thank you, much." Miles answered with a twinkle in his eye, that Riker didn't miss. Geordi LaForge leaned forward. "A Klingon bachelor party? I can't even imagine it. Tell me Chief, what did you do?" "Do? Well first, we all had to stand around a fire in a cave. Worf kept building the fire up hotter and hotter until I thought poor Alexander was going to faint! Actually, Alexander did faint!" "Alexander? He was at the wedding too?" Will asked, suddenly noting that Deanna would welcome news of Alexander and would be disappointed if he didn't relay any information about the boy that Miles might reveal. "How is he doing?" "Yes, he was there. A handsome boy he is too. Not much of a soldier. Not at all like his father." Miles said taking another swig of the scotch. "He almost didn't survive the blood ceremony or the hanging over the fire pits." "Sounds lovely. Fire pits? Well at least I hope you got to drink lots of bloodwine." Geordi nudged Miles. "Built up quite a thirst I bet, right?" "Thirst? You had better believe it, but" Riker interrupted O'Brien, "I'll bet Worf wouldn't let you drink anything!" "Really, Commander. That is not a kind comment on Lt. Worf." Picard sat sipping his Beaujolais. "Perhaps not Captain, but the Commander's right. He didn't let us drink in the cave and we weren't allowed to eat for 4 days!" Miles wiped his brow at the memory. "Jadzia though, she had a blowout party!" "What do you mean a blowout party?" Data inquired calculating the alcholic content of the two drinks the Chief had already consumed. "She had male dancers, music, food, Kinko said it was a lot of fun." Miles continued, warming up now that he had a captive audience. "In fact it was so wild that Worf and Dax had a fight and everyone thought the wedding might be off for a while. But they worked everything out in the end." Riker leaned forward and nearly whispered, "So tell us about this Jadzia that Worf married. Quite a beauty I understand." O'Brien nodded his assent. "A trill. She stands up to him, I'll tell you that. Dax doesn't take any grief from Worf." Will smiled. Just the kind of woman Worf would go for, one who would make his life miserable. The more miserable, the happier he would be. "I have a vidpic if you'd like to see." O'Brien offered. "Sure!" said Data, already straining to see around Geordi and Riker. Will was studying the beauty trying to read something about the person from the picture when he felt two hands on his shoulder. Smiling he turned, his expression asking his question for him. The older Betazoid woman who stood before him grinned and in his head he heard, "its time, William. I summon you to the place of marriage." "Well, gentleman," Will said standing up and beginning to strip his clothes off. I'm really sorry I wasn't able to offer the bachelor party that Worf arranged." "That's all right Commander." Data said. "I think I speak for everyone present when I say we would much rather see you and your bride in the nude than Worf anyday!"
