TRINITY COVENANT CHURCH EMO: EVANGELISM, MISSIONS AND OUTREACH

Graphic of praying hands PRAYER Calendars - The Covenant Missionary Prayer Calendars are on the table in the Church Narthex. Please take your copy and pray for our missionaries as listed below.

African Ministry A few years ago, Pastor Frank arrived at our Church. His congregation in Uganda (Africa) saved up for years to fulfill his vision to come to America.  We have sent groups of our congregation to Africa to help Pastor Frank's Church and Orphanage. We've been able to send them clothes and blankets to help (the children in the orphanage had only one set of clothes, and no shoes) and computers (to set up an internet cafe to earn money) to for Frank. We are also helping them with food and medicine. The needs are great and could really use help in providing for Pastor Frank's ministry. Go to our Church's main website and click on the UGANDA! link or Sandy's Uganda Adventure to learn more of this. If you can help, please contact Sandy at Church.

NEW ENGLAND SEAFARERS MISSION – We provide volunteers to help this Cruise Ship Ministry. Pray about your willingness to serve this ministry on a Saturday or Sunday from late April through October.…Please call New England Seafarer’s Mission directly at 617-443-0282 for opportunities to help serve.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS GIVING TREE: The congregation and friends provide Christmas presents to attendees of our 25-year ministry to the mentally and emotionally handicapped.

MINISTRY of love Pray for Frank C. as he distributes "Our Daily Bread" to patients in a local hospital for the mentally challenged. Pray for additional opportunities and resources to expand this ministry.

Mexico Missions Team – Since 2003 our church has been sending youth and adult members to Reynosa, Mexico to help at the Pilar Esperanza Children's Home for 1 to 2 weeks in the summer. The work consists of a combination of physical labor (built a full size basketball court out of cement, helped build a new dormitory) and running a daily children's program in Spanish.  Please pray for success in fundraising as each person needs to raise about $1,000.

WOMEN'S SEAFARERS FRIEND SOCIETY – Calling all knitters and sewers - Please help the chaplains of the New England Seafarers Mission and Women's Seafarers Friend Society by preparing knit caps and ditty bags. Contact the Church for more information.

Please continue in prayer for all our Missionaries & Missions

URGENT PRAYER NEED – PRAY FOR WORLD PEACE – pray for all missionaries in our world, especially Central Asia and Africa, in areas where spiritual beliefs differ from ours. These are difficult times. Pray for safety for those serving in our military overseas and their families who wait at home. May we continue to depend solely upon the Lord for comfort and strength in this time of stress and distress?

PILGRIM PINES – Located in Swanzey, NH (near Keene, NH), this Christian retreat and camping center is open year-round. This is a favorite place for retreats, Elderhostel, and Christian Education. This center also runs the summer camp, Camp Squanto, to serve youth through high school age in exploring, developing and enhancing their Christianity (see their schedule of programs at their website and throughout the main webpage for Trinity Covenant Church). Please pray for the ministry of the Pines and their director, David Cairns.

Community Partners – Our monthly Community Partners outreach to the mentally and emotionally handicapped needs you to help with talking, listening, or interacting with these outstanding people. We can also use volunteers to help with setup, cooking or cleanup. The rewards are priceless!

Project Manna – Our church staffs the soup kitchen (Project Manna) at Mass Avenue Baptist Church, 146 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA (a few blocks from Inman Square in Cambridge heading towards Kendall Square) on the second Friday of the month. Volunteers are needed for setup, cooking or cleanup. See their website www.bc.edu/schools/cas/pulse/placements/projectmanna.html for more information.

Shelter Inc. – Our church would like to staff a Shelter Inc. residence house kitchen in Cambridge, MA on the third Friday of the month, but are unable due to the lack of volunteers. Volunteers are needed for setup, cooking or cleanup. See their website at http://www.headinghomeinc.org for more information about Shelter Inc. Contact Frank C. or the webmaster for more information about helping on small team each month.

PRAYER FOR TRINITY EMO – please keep your EMO Commission in prayer as we work explore possible new areas of support and ministry. All suggestions will be appreciated.
