Yellow Pages

TWO LARGE PRINT HYMNALS (WORDS ONLY) ARE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR FROM ONE OF THE USHERS.

We hope you picked up your nametag or made one as you entered the sanctuary. We ask our members and friends to wear nametags so that we can learn each other's names. If you don't find yours please leave a note on the clipboards.

HEARING ASSISTANCE RECEIVERS ARE AT THE TABLE AT THE BACK OF THE SANCTUARY. Please use the sign-out sheet to record which receiver you have taken (they are numbered) and record its return.

Would you like to be part of the Prayer Chain? They are the folks who pray for those who request prayers in Joys and Concerns or by talking with the Pastors. If you are interested, please put a note on the clipboard with your email address (if you have one) or a contact phone number.

Ushers today: Elaine and Rod Yarling

SUNDAY, MAY 11 - Sunday, May 11, 2008, with joy and thanksgiving, the Angola Partnership Group is leading the worship hour with a focus on Angola, Africa. Please join us in the celebration of Canata School and our Angola based missionary, Donna Dudley. On the Angola bulletin board in the church's dining room are pictures showing the happy faces of children who are enrolled in the Canata School's primary and kindergarten classes. These children are a few of the worldwide yearning among children for education. Education is a part of the Partnership's mission.

UNIVERSITY CHURCH NEEDS YOU.....to sign up for social hour. The sign-up sheets are hanging on the dining room wall. Pick at least one Sunday this year to host social hour. OPEN DATES: June 22, 29 and all of July and August. Hosting Social Hour can be as simple or as elaborate as you want, but usually involves bringing and setting up snacks for about 75 people. The coffee and lemonade mix are provided. This followed by clean up. It's a great way to participate in the life of our church!

MESSENGER DEADLINE: TODAY

There are tapes of most Sunday services available. If you want a tape and want to keep it, please put a note on the clipboards.

The church is again collecting Campbell product labels. PLEASE REMOVE THE LABEL SO THAT THE UPC BARCODE IS INTACT. There is a collection box on the east aisle table. Thank you for your help.

They went also to Galilee meeting with Palestinians, Israelis, and Christians. Sabeel (meaning “the way” in Arabic) is the name of the Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center in Jerusalem.
