Mike and I got to meet the Indigo Girls when they were doing a promotional tour for “Shaming of The Sun.” They did an acoustic show of songs from the new album at a tiny club in Chicago called The Double Door, for an invited audience of music industry people. Afterwards they spent some time hanging out, and we got their autographs and this picture.
I told Amy how much I liked their song “The Power of Two,” and how, for Mike and I, it was “our song.” She laughed and said it was sappy. I told her I liked it anyway, and that at least it was “good sappy.”
