Worship Services

Weekly Services
Our regular weekly worship service takes place each Sunday at 10:30 AM in our Sanctuary, regardless of weather conditions. Services are held each week from the first Sunday after Labor Day in September through the third Sunday in June, and last about an hour.
Child care for infants and toddlers is provided from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM on Sundays when services are held. Church school for all other children through grade 12 begins at 10:30 AM.
Services are followed by a social time in our Parish Hall.

Intergenerational Services
We usually have one or two intergenerational services each month, where students from the Church School will join adults in the Sanctuary for the first part of the regular service. Information about these services will be included in the weekly newsletter, and posted at the RE Table on the appropriate Sunday.

Candles of Joys and Concerns
During every worship service there is time for those present to share their joys and concerns.  On the first and third service of each month, we set aside a additional time for members and friends to light a candle and publicly (or silently) share their joys or concerns about friends and loved ones.

Music
The Society has a long tradition of outstanding music both during our Sunday services and at special events throughout the year. We have an excellent adult choir with several professionals, as well as a youth choir. The adult choir performs an entire service on Music Sunday in the spring each year. Several times during the year we have invited instrumentalists who perform during the services. In the past year or two we have had a Jazz Service, a Gospel Music Service, and the Welllesley College Choir as guest perfomers.

Special Sunday Services
Throughout the church year we hold a number of traditional and theme-oriented services. Below is a listing of some of the events currently planned for the upcoming year:

Child care for infants, toddlers, nursery schoolers, and kindergartners is provided from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM on Sundays when services are held. Church school for children in grades one through five begins at 10:30 AM with a service in the chapel unless otherwise posted for Intergenerational Sundays.
