Commitment to Community Service

We've tried to establish a family tradition of service to the community by volunteering as members of the Clinton First Aid and Rescue Squad. The squad serves the Town of Clinton and portions of 4 surrounding municipalities (Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Lebanon Boro, and Union Township). It responds to about 1200 emergency calls each year.
Ginny and Dan joined the squad in 1978. Ginny held several administrative offices, including President and Treasurer. Dan held several line offices, including Captain, First Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Training Officer. We're both Exempt Members now, and proud that our children have chosen to "follow in our footsteps".
Kim, Joe, Mike, and Danny all joined as Cadets when they were 15 years of age. Frank joined when he moved to Clinton after several years of service with a volunteer unit in the area. Dani joined shortly after she graduated High School. Vicki joined when she moved to Clinton from Idaho, where she had served for several years with a volunteer squad.
Kim is an Exempt Member and former Treasurer. Frank is an Active Member and is Chief. Joe is an Exempt Member and a former Chief. Dani left the squad to devote more time to their family. Mike is an Exempt Member and a former EMS Captain. Vicki left the squad to devote more time to her family and career. Danny is a Participating Member and a former Infection Control Officer.
Although volunteers seek no honors or recognition, the unexpected does happen. Ginny
and Dan were proud to accept, on behalf of the entire family, the Town of Clinton award as
1993 Citizens of the Year. It seems that you are seen the most when you wish no one to
watch.
